About Kavalan Distillery
Founded in 2005, Kavalan Distillery is the first distillery to produce whisky in Taiwan. Located in the mountainous county of Yilan, it benefits from a humid subtropical climate ideal for accelerated aging and intense aromatic extraction. This characteristic allows Kavalan to create whiskies of great richness, even when young. The Kavalan style is distinguished by fruity and exotic profiles , often achieved through maturation in exceptionally high-quality casks: bourbon, sherry, red wine or white wine.
