Veuve Clicquot's latest creation promises to pique many curiosity. The remarkable house reveals a unique extra brut champagne , made exclusively from a blend of reserve wines. This extraordinary cuvée is composed of the 1996, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014 vintages. With a magnificent structure, this champagne combines opulence and freshness, intensity and finesse. All the house's expertise, as well as the creativity and avant-gardism of its Cellar Master Dominique Demarville, are magnified in this exceptional champagne. With a dosage of 3 g/L, the Extra Brut Extra Old expresses its blossoming with remarkable purity. This champagne is aged twice from 3 to 27 years. This double aging process takes place before the blending of the reserve wines, highlighting its complexity and refinement. With an intensely golden color, its bubbles are very fine, resulting from a pressure of 4.5 bars, less than the usual 6 bars. On the nose, this champagne reveals itself to be ample and dense, exuding fragrances of ripe fruits and candied citrus fruits. On the palate, it is both deep and silky, marked by a freshness and minerality that extend into a long and saline finish. This subtle cuvée has an aging potential of 10 to 15 years. It is an excellent aperitif champagne, which will also pair very well with grilled white fish, tartare or white fish carpaccio, served at a temperature of 8 to 10°C.

THE BRAND
Veuve Clicquot currently owns one of the largest and most prestigious vineyards in Champagne, spread across the region's finest vintages. With a total area of 390 hectares, the vines flourish in 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus listed in Champagne. This glorious winemaking heritage has been patiently built over the centuries, beginning with the founder and enriched by successive generations of Veuve Clicquot management. It bears the distinct imprint of Madame Clicquot, who has contributed significantly to its development. Each plot of their vineyard is meticulously studied to determine the optimal grape variety mix, taking into account the characteristics of the soil, climate, and exposure. Thus, the Veuve Clicquot vineyard is composed of 47% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir, and 17% Meunier. Located mainly on hillsides, their vines benefit from a thin soil and optimal sunshine, guaranteeing the optimal conditions to produce grapes of exceptional quality.
