LE BREUIL Tourbé is a French single malt whisky made from 100% Golden Promise barley (a rare premium quality barley). This peated single malt was double distilled in a pot still, aged and finished at Château du Breuil in Normandy. It was first aged in French oak barrels before being finished in former peated Scotch whisky casks, bringing a peaty dimension, perfectly balancing its roundness and original aromas. Bottled at 46%, the nose is slightly smoky, with notes of undergrowth, bay leaf and fresh cereals. On the palate, the peat is more expressive and includes aromas of pepper, grapefruit and cardamom. A lingering finish with flavors of praline, exotic fruits and vine peach. For the last century, Château du Breuil has been recognized as a quality distiller in its noble and demanding art. It's no surprise that today he puts his expertise to work towards a legitimate ambition: to create an authentic Single Malt Whisky, obeying the meticulous laws of traditional distillation. In his quest for perfection, the Cellar Master has chosen only one variety of barley, the Golden Promise, prioritizing taste over yield.

THE BRAND
La Spiriterie Française, Château du Breuil - Normandy, is first and foremost the story of a heritage, that of Château du Breuil. A listed historic monument, renowned for its unmissable Calvados AOC Pays d'Auge. Today, in the midst of innovation, Château du Breuil becomes La Spiriterie Française, Château du Breuil - Normandy. Château du Breuil still distills Calvados and has its own orchards, in the communes of Breuil en Auge and Saint-Philbert des Champs, for a total surface area of 42 hectares planted with 22,000 apple trees. The mild, humid climate and the clay soil of the Pays d'Auge, rich in nitrogen and potash, provide Château du Breuil with the ideal environment for the development of these fruit trees. From now on, the story continues to develop and enrich itself through multiple experiences. The Château combines tradition and innovation, drawing on its history and expertise to develop new projects such as Rum, but also the creation of its Norman Single Malt Whisky.
