Writers' Tears Copper Pot is a unique blend of single pot still and aged Irish single malt whiskeys, aged entirely in American oak bourbon barrels. This is a triple-distilled Irish whiskey, a gold medal winner at the International Spirits Challenge in London. It is one of the highest-rated Irish whiskeys in Jim Murray's "Whisky Bible."
TASTING NOTE
Nose : Apple with notes of vanilla and honey.
Palate : Gently spiced with ginger, butterscotch and toasty oak notes.
Finish : Long, elegant finish with subtle notes of milk chocolate and almonds.

Writer Tears, literally 'The tears of the writer', is a blend produced at Midleton and composed by Walsh Whiskey, represented by Rosemary and Bernard Walsh, creators a few years earlier of the brands The Irishman, or even the liqueurs Irish Cream and Hot Irishman. It is a blend, whose composition is as follows: An Irish single malt, combined with a pure pot still, both having been distilled only on copper stills and not on column stills. It also does not contain grain whiskey. Distributed since 2009, this blend has received good reviews, but also international awards in its category.
