Runaway Bay is an aged rum named after a beach on Jamaica's north coast. This pot still rum combines rum from four of Jamaica's distilleries, including high-ester spirit from Trelawny and rum from Vale of Lluidas. It then matured in a pair of casks for 11 to 14 years before being bottled in a limited edition of 773 bottles. The glass is also made from recycled bottles and topped with a real cork. A great introduction to high-ester rum!
TASTING NOTE
Nose: Ripe fruit and ester, namely banana and pineapple as well as coconut cream.
Palate: Pineapple, dried fruits and woody caramel.
Finish: Banana and ripe esters linger on a dry, peppery finish.
