Founded in 1842, the La Favorite distillery is a leading source of Martinique's rhum agricole. Today, it remains one of the last independent family distilleries on the island. Purchased by Henri Dormoy in 1905, it still operates thanks to its famous steam engine, a testament to ancestral expertise. Located in Fort-de-France, it cultivates 60 hectares of hand-harvested sugarcane. Each vintage is produced using artisanal methods, with careful attention to quality, fermentation, distillation on a Creole column, and aging in oak barrels. Prestige vintages like La Flibuste are hand-bottled, wax-sealed, and numbered, offering a rare level of excellence. La Favorite represents the excellence of rhum agricole, combining living tradition and family passion.
