About Arran Distillery
The Arran Distillery , founded in 1995, is located on the island of the same name, off the west coast of Scotland. The only survivor among more than 50 historic distilleries that once prospered on the island, it has become a benchmark for independent whisky in just a few decades. From the outset, it has chosen quality and innovation: selected barley, traditional copper stills , multiple aging processes (bourbon, sherry, madeira, etc.). Its 10-year-old vintage is the emblem of this fruity, gourmet and island style. Led by a passionate team, the distillery has successfully combined Scottish traditions and modernity. It remains faithful to artisanal practices, such as non-chill filtration and the absence of colorings, to deliver sincere, precise and intensely expressive single malts. Each year, a portion of the "angel's share" evaporates through the wood of its barrels, leaving behind a nectar shaped by time and the sea breeze. A beautiful story of island rebirth, a must-see.
