Smooth Ambler American Whiskey is a blend of two 9- and 5-year-old American whiskeys. They are made with bourbon mashbills. One is aged in new oak barrels and the other in reclaimed and charred bourbon barrels. While this unique aging precludes calling it "bourbon," it shares all the character and flavor of a bourbon. TASTING NOTE 
Nose : Green apple, salted butter, coffee, and a familiar tickle of rye spiciness...
Palate : Lots of cinnamon and ginger. Notes of sweet tobacco and caramel develop.
Finish : Chili chocolate, apple crumble and a pinch of peppermint.
THE BRAND
Smooth Amler is an American distillery founded in 2009 in Maxwelton, West Virginia. It produces renowned whiskeys such as Old Scout Single Barrel Bourbon, as well as premium gins, rums, vodkas, and bourbons. The distillery is currently in the process of being acquired by the French group Pernod Ricard, which intends to expand its operations in the United States.
