To create this new edition of La Grande Dame, Veuve Clicquot has partnered with Italian artist Paola Paronetto, a color expert. This exclusive collaboration highlights the house's exceptional expertise. La Grande Dame 2015 is a chromatic symphony reflecting the harmony of the vintage through six unique boxes, each presented in a random color. La Grande Dame 2015 , according to Didier Mariotti, cellar master at Veuve Clicquot, is an exceptionally sunny year distinguished by its tension and elegance. It embodies the spirit of verticality and precision of the Pinot Noirs from the house's historic Grands Crus. Madame Clicquot was convinced that Pinot Noir, with its vast palette of expression and exceptional potential, was the ideal grape variety to create the finest champagne. This love of Pinot Noir led her to acquire ten of the house's twelve emblematic plots, making this grape variety Veuve Clicquot's signature. Pinot Noir provides the structure and strength characteristic of the house style, perfectly embodied in the La Grande Dame cuvée, a tribute to “the great lady of Champagne”: Madame Clicquot. The oenological excellence of La Grande Dame lies in its precise blend. Composed of 90% Pinot Noir, this cuvée is enhanced by 10% Chardonnay from the Grands Crus of Avize and Mesnil-Sur-Oger, located in the Côte des Blancs. La Grande Dame 2015 has a beautiful, sparkling golden color. The nose reveals great minerality and pleasant freshness, accompanied by light floral notes of jasmine and acacia, evolving into fruity aromas of pear and clementine. On the palate, this champagne envelops the palate with a deliciously subtle and silky texture, revealing all the finesse and elegance of this exceptional vintage. Served at 10°C, this champagne is the perfect accompaniment to any meal.

THE BRAND
Veuve Clicquot currently owns one of the largest and most prestigious vineyards in Champagne, spread across the region's finest vintages. With a total area of 390 hectares, the vines flourish in 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus listed in Champagne. This glorious winemaking heritage has been patiently built over the centuries, beginning with the founder and enriched by successive generations of Veuve Clicquot management. It bears the distinct imprint of Madame Clicquot, who has contributed significantly to its development. Each plot of their vineyard is meticulously studied to determine the optimal grape variety mix, taking into account the characteristics of the soil, climate, and exposure. Thus, the Veuve Clicquot vineyard is composed of 47% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir, and 17% Meunier. Located mainly on hillsides, their vines benefit from a thin soil and optimal sunshine, guaranteeing the optimal conditions to produce grapes of exceptional quality.
