Penderyn is currently the only whisky brand produced in Wales. Distillation takes place in an old village using copper stills and near a pure water source. This process gives the drink a pure character: Penderyn whisky is one of the smoothest whiskies. The distillery released its first whisky in 2000, and its modern design is a delight for whisky lovers. Penderyn whisky will initially age in bourbon casks from Buffalo Trace and Evan Williams. For finishing, it will be transferred to Madeira, Port, sherry casks, or casks from an Islay distillery to share its peaty flavors. Since the early 2000s, the distillery has carved out a place for itself on the international market, in Great Britain, of course, the USA, but also in Europe. In 2007, it launched three new products: Brecon gin, Five vodka, distilled 5 times, and Merlyn liqueur.
