Lochlea: an artisanal and poetic single malt

Located in the Scottish Lowlands, the Lochlea distillery embodies a new lease of life in independent whisky. Initially led by Malcolm Rennie, then taken over by John Campbell (former director of Laphroaig), it combines expertise, authenticity, and a contemporary vision of single malt. Nestled in the heart of a family farm where Robert Burns , the famous Scottish poet, lived between 1777 and 1784, Lochlea grows its own barley, feeds local cattle with its spent grain, and draws its water from the estate's limestone aquifers. This connection to the land gives the whisky a true terroir. Thanks to slow distillation and a narrow, tall heart cut, Lochlea produces an elegant and fruity single malt distinguished by its finesse and ability to age quickly. Far from bottles to be collected without ever being opened, Lochlea offers a sincere whisky, designed to be savored and shared. Each expression pays homage to rural life and Burns' heritage, while asserting a contemporary and ambitious identity. A whisky that combines poetry, precision and passion from grain to bottle.
