Established in Mauritius for four generations, the Oxenham family first built its reputation in the distribution of wines and spirits before launching into rum production. In 2005, and especially from 2010, the opening of the market and the authorization of cane juice distillation by the Mauritian government marked a turning point. It is in this context that the Oaks & Âmes distillery was born, born of the passion and ambition to offer an exceptional Mauritian rum. Produced 100% from pure cane juice harvested locally in partnership with a farmer on the island, Oaks & Âmes rums are distinguished by their authenticity and their anchoring in the Mauritian terroir. The distillery's four stills allow for an artisanal production of around 7,000 liters per year, offering meticulous work on each batch to guarantee a unique and controlled aromatic profile. Aged entirely on-site in six different types of casks, these rums develop a complexity and depth rare for the region.
