AMRUT WHISKEY: THE EXCELLENCE OF INDIAN WHISKEY

Amrut , a name meaning "nectar of life" in Sanskrit, is an iconic distillery founded in 1948 as Amrut Laboratories by Shri J.N. Radhakrishna. Initially, the company was involved in blending and bottling various alcoholic beverages. It was only in the 1980s that the company began producing malt whisky, revolutionizing the Indian whisky landscape. Unlike 90% of whiskies consumed in India, which are made from molasses, Amrut has strived to produce a premium malt whisky. To achieve this goal, the distillery has enlisted the help of Scottish experts to perfect its production process, ensuring a whisky worthy of global standards. The barley used in the making of this whisky is grown in the foothills of the Himalayas, providing an ideal base for the whisky.
