Founded in 1971, the Club des Trésors de Champagne initially brought together a dozen of the region's finest winemakers. Their goal was to raise awareness of the distinctive qualities of grower-produced champagnes. To this end, they decided early on to create a prestigious cuvée called the Spécial Club. Each member was required to offer their finest cuvée under this name. In 1988, to reinforce the cuvée's visual identity, a specific bottle was adopted, used today by the 28 members of the Club des Trésors de Champagne. Jean-Paul Hébrart's 2019 Special Club cuvée perfectly embodies the Maison's style. Ideal for a refined aperitif, this vintage champagne is made from old vines approximately forty years old, blending 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay from the terroirs of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Louvois. These exceptional grapes result in a remarkable cuvée. Vinified in stainless steel vats, this extra brut champagne offers great freshness and intensity, highlighted by a low dosage of 5.5 g/L. The 2019 Special Club is distinguished by a bright, sparkling golden color, dotted with fine, elegant bubbles. The nose reveals notes of ripe fruit and a touch of citrus, evolving into aromas of brioche, fruit jelly, and a subtle spicy note. On the palate, the attack is frank and lively, followed by a delicate, chiseled texture. The fruit aromas assert themselves in the mid-palate, supported by a beautiful minerality. The finish is pure and vibrant, lingering on the palate for long seconds. Serving temperature: 10°C.

THE BRAND
The history of Maison Marc Hébrart is relatively recent. Marc Hébrart began producing champagne from his own grapes in 1964, retiring in 1997. Since then, his son Jean-Paul has taken the reins of the estate. Members of the Club Trésors de Champagne since 1985, their "Spécial Club" represents the excellence of the house. Marc Hébrart is characterized by a harmony between subtle minerality and aromas of fresh, juicy fruit. Interestingly, Jean-Paul Hébrart also sealed a prestigious union by marrying Isabelle Diebolt, thus forming another memorable marriage in the world of champagne!
