P&M Single Malt Signature is the latest exceptional creation from Domaine Mavela , succeeding the legendary P&M Single Malt 7 years old. Designed to express the unique personality of Corsican wines, this whisky has rested in ex-white wine and muscat casks from Domaine Gentile, located in Patrimonio. This carefully orchestrated alliance gives the Signature a powerful and fruity character: the muscat casks bring a floral and sweet aromatic touch, while the white wines enrich the woody fraction with toasted notes. Produced in a limited edition of 6,600 copies, this single malt reflects the expertise and generosity of the Corsican terroir, where the pure water of the Col Saint-Georges and the Mediterranean climate create ideal aging conditions.

Founded in 1999, the Mavela distillery is located in the eastern plain of Corsica, near Aleria . The result of the partnership with the Pietra brewery, it created the first P&M Corsican whisky, aged in two-hundred-year-old oak barrels that once contained the island's finest wines. P&M Signature continues this tradition by promoting the white and muscat wines of Domaine Gentile, offering a fruity and complex character. Recognized by Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2014 for the excellence of the P&M Single Malt 7 Years Old, the distillery perpetuates its artisanal know-how in limited editions, guaranteeing the authenticity of Corsican whiskies.

About the distillery

The Mavela distillery is located on the eastern plain of Corsica, near Aleria , benefiting from a Mediterranean climate and pure water drawn from the Col Saint-Georges , at an altitude of over 1,000 meters. In association with the Pietra brewery, it launched the first Corsican whisky in 1999, produced in traditional copper stills. The cellars house two -hundred-year-old oak barrels that have contained the best Corsican wines (Domaine Gentile, muscats, etc.), guaranteeing rich and complex aging.

Mavela combines tradition and innovation by exploring a variety of wines (red wines, white wines, muscats, and the Tronçais forests) to create unique single malts. Each is produced in a limited, numbered edition, reflecting the distillery's authenticity and artisanal character. Recognized for the quality of its whiskies (notably by Jim Murray), Mavela collaborates closely with Corsican winemakers to select the finest casks, thus promoting the island's winemaking and agricultural heritage.
