The Dictador 16 Year Old is an iconic vintage from the Destilería Colombiana distillery, founded in 1913 by Don Angel Nùñez . It is named after Severo Arango y Ferro , nicknamed "El Dictador," an influential 18th-century figure who arrived in Cartagena de Indias to oversee the rum trade.
This rum is made from fermented cane honey , distilled in a still and column, then aged in bourbon barrels with a finish in sherry barrels which gives it that oxidative and complex touch. A rich, round rum, emblematic of the Dictador style: between Latin power and European elegance.

Dictador is an iconic Colombian brand of premium rums, originating from the Destilería Colombiana , located in Cartagena de Indias .
