Penny Blue VSOP is a rum aged for at least 4 years in a combination of cognac (75%), whisky (10%), and bourbon (15%) casks. Produced in collaboration with Jean-Françoise Koenig, Master Distiller at Medine, and Berry Bros & Rudd's, this Mauritian rum takes its name from the world's rarest stamp (printed in Mauritius in 1847). Penny Blue rums are distilled from molasses from sugarcane grown on the estate, then aged and bottled at the Medine distillery. This is a non-chill filtered rum with no added coloring. The elegant, medium-bodied flavors create a perfect sweet-dry balance. A good value rum.
