TASTING NOTE

Nose: Banana, pineapple, and stewed apple. Prune and bitter almond extract. Complex and deep.

Palate: Smooth, intense and very enveloping.

Finish: Endless, with a woody note that gains in presence (and brings a pleasant bitterness). Notes of exotic fruits.

THE BRAND

The Laguiole distillery was founded by twelve friends, all whisky enthusiasts and lovers of Aubrac. One New Year's Eve 2013, they decided to bring a somewhat crazy dream to life: Build a whisky-producing distillery on this barren plateau. The presbytery, an old building located at the foot of the church, had all the characteristics to house the brewery and distillery needed to produce a specifically Aveyron whisky. And so began the story of Twelve whisky d'Aubrac. The first distillates flowed in September 2017. At the same time, the Tw Spiritueux range was created to market traditional rums sourced from all over the world, refined and blended in Laguiole by Florent Caston, the cellar master. At regular intervals, single malts—including the first distillates signed Twelve—are released under the Esprit name.
