TASTING NOTE
Color : Amber gold.
Nose : A powerful peat smoke with just a hint of seawater salt from fresh oysters and a citrus sweetness
Palate : A rich sweetness of dried fruits, clouds of smoke, strong aromas of barley and malt, warm and intense. Peppery at the back of the mouth.
Finish : Long, warm and peppery.
THE BRAND
In 1825, Hugh MacAskill of Eigg acquired Talisker House at the northern tip of the Minginish Peninsula on the rugged Isle of Skye. Five years later, he and his brother had built what would become one of the world's most popular whisky distilleries on the shores of Loch Harport. Talisker was the only single malt produced on the shores of the Isle of Skye before the Torabhaig Distillery was established in 2013, one of Scotland's most remote and wild places. This Scotch whisky is deeply imbued with its origin and history. Its aroma and taste instantly connect with the wild environment in which it was matured. Talisker whiskies are powerful and complex.
