Color : Dark amber.
Nose : Very creamy, vanilla custard. The smoke develops gradually, rather than overpowering the other aromas present. Toasted marshmallows, herbs, and rich fruits appear over time.
Palate : Incredibly balanced - rich and creamy with a slight medicinal edge. Smoke is present.
Finish : The sweet smoke lingers for our greatest pleasure!

THE BRAND

Longrow is a double-distilled peated single malt produced at the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. Springbank is perched on the edge of Campbeltown Loch towards the bottom of the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland, about a three-hour drive southwest of Glasgow. At one time, Campbeltown was the heart of the whisky industry; a small town of around 5,000 people, it boasted an incredible 30 legal distilleries and proclaimed itself the whisky capital of the world.

THE DISTILLERY

Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell . The distillery is now in the hands of Hedley G. Wright, Mitchell's grandson - the fifth generation of the Mitchell family to own and operate Springbank. Established in Campbeltown, once proclaimed the 'Whisky Capital of the World', Springbank produces a whisky with its own distinctive character thanks to the use of lightly peated barley and a two-and-a-half distillation process. The Springbank Distillery carries out all the necessary steps in the creation of its whiskies on site, from malting to bottling. The distillery produces three single malts : Springbank, Hazelburn and Longrow.
