CLONAKILTY WHISKY: IRISH EXCELLENCE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

For over 300 years, the Scully family has cultivated an ancient variety of barley on their fertile lands in southwest Ireland. Whipped by Atlantic winds, these lands, steeped in sea salt, have given birth to an exceptional whiskey. This unique terroir inspired Michael Scully, a direct descendant of this line, to found the Clonakilty Distillery in 2017, near the family farm. It is here, in a modern and innovative setting, that the distillery produces its whiskies using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary techniques. Clonakilty practices triple distillation, an ancient Irish method that gives its whiskies an incomparable smoothness and complexity. The distillery's first whisky was casked in 2019, and since then, Clonakilty has been refining and blending older whiskies while producing a house-made gin, flavored with local herbs picked directly from the surrounding cliffs. The marriage of Irish nature with family expertise results in whiskies as complex as the environment that surrounds them. The Clonakilty whiskey range includes refined blends, such as the Port Cask, a rich and rounded blend, and the Single Batch Double Oak, which reveals all the authenticity of Irish whiskey. But it is above all their Single Malt that stands out, with its fruity and chocolatey notes, a true signature of the distillery. The Scully family continues to cultivate its heritage and enrich the history of Irish whiskey with each bottle produced.
