Macallan is one of the most renowned distilleries in Speyside , Scotland, and a true icon of Scotch whisky. Founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, the distillery reinvented itself in 2014 with state-of-the-art infrastructure, while preserving its traditional craftsmanship. Macallan whiskies are distilled in the famous Curiously Small Stills , some of the smallest stills in Speyside. Their compact shape promotes strong contact with the copper, providing precise distillation and rich aromas. This process results in round, full-bodied and intensely fruity whiskies. With a production capacity of 15 million liters per year, Macallan bottles only 16% of its stock to offer only exceptional expressions.
