BUFFALO TRACE WHISKY: THE STORY OF A LEGENDARY DISTILLERY
Founded in 1773, Buffalo Trace Distillery is one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in the United States. Its history is marked by hardships, including the Prohibition era in the 1920s, when it was one of four distilleries licensed to produce whiskey for medicinal purposes. It is this resilience and heritage that has allowed Buffalo Trace to become one of the world's largest distilleries, today producing more than 15 whiskey brands, including the famous Eagle Rare and Blanton's. Buffalo Trace's expertise is passed down from generation to generation, a refined craftsmanship that has earned the distillery more awards than any other North American distillery since 1990. In the late 1990s, Buffalo Trace was renamed after being known as George T. Stagg. Its historical significance was recognized in 2013 when the distillery was designated a National Historic Landmark, joining iconic symbols such as the Statue of Liberty and the White House.
