Whisky Hautefeuille: The Art of 100% French Single Malt, in the Heart of Picardy

Since 2017 , the Distillerie d'Hautefeuille has been producing French single malt whiskies in Picardy that showcase the terroir and the family cereal tradition. Located in Beaucourt-en-Santerre , within the estate passed down since 1660, the distillery cultivates, processes and distills its barley in an artisanal and eco-responsible approach. Led by the couple Etienne and Marie-Astrid d'Hautefeuille , the distillery produces 100% French spirits, combining agricultural heritage and modernity. The house's first whisky, a Single Malt Parcellaire from the Hangard plot, perfectly illustrates their desire to link terroir and malty expression , like a winemaker. Each manufacturing step (excluding malting) is carried out on site, in a building designed to optimize the environmental impact (recovery of co-products, water and heat savings, cladding in local poplar). Distillation is carried out by a Stupfler still , renowned for its extreme finesse and its ability to capture all the aromatic richness of the distillate in a single heating. Thanks to the expertise of master distiller Alexis Defossez and a rigorous plot selection, Hautefeuille whiskies reveal great elegance, a beautiful roundness and an identity deeply rooted in the lands of Picardy.
