ARDNAHOE WHISKY: A NEW CLASSIC FROM ISLAY

Ardnahoe Distillery, founded in 2017 on the Isle of Islay, is the ninth distillery on this legendary island. Nestled a few miles north of Port Askaig, Ardnahoe boasts a spectacular natural setting overlooking the Isle of Jura. The distillery is named after Loch Ardnahoe, whose crystal-clear water, filtered through peat and rock, is used in the whisky-making process. This exceptionally pure water is one of the secrets behind the smoothness and complexity of the single malts produced at Ardnahoe. Whisky production at Ardnahoe is based on traditional methods and a quality approach, with annual production limited to 600,000 liters of pure alcohol (LPA). This whisky is distilled from barley dried over peat smoke for 20 hours, giving each expression a peaty depth that is the signature of Islay. Speyside Copperworks' specially manufactured copper stills ensure slow distillation, maximizing aroma extraction. The distillery is distinguished by the use of first-fill casks, ensuring optimal maturation.
