Phraya Gold Rum: Thai Elegance Inspired by the Four Elements

Phraya Gold Rum is an ultra-premium rum from the Kingdom of Thailand, distilled at the SangSom Distillery and bottled by the prestigious Indian Ocean Rum Company. Aged for 7 to 12 years in ex-bourbon oak barrels, it is produced using a deep maturation technique specially developed for the Asian climate, combining heat, humidity and aging over cool lagoons to refine its expression. Inspired by the philosophy of the four elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air – this cuvée draws its identity from the use of excellent sugarcane from fertile soils in Kanchanaburi (Earth), fresh water from the Ta Chin River (Water), aging in charred barrels (Fire) and storage in warehouses on calm lagoons (Air). Awarded at major international competitions – Double Gold medal at San Francisco Spirits Competition 2024, winner at the World Rum Awards 2023 and Gold in 2022 in San Francisco, Phraya Gold is one of the few Asian rums to achieve such recognition.
