BEENLEIGH RUM: THE RUM TRADITION IN THE HEART OF AUSTRALIA

Founded in 1884, Beenleigh Distillery is the oldest continuously operating rum distillery in Australia. Located in Queensland, in the heart of sugarcane plantations, this iconic distillery embodies the tradition and history of Australian rum. Initially a historic supplier to the British Royal Navy, Beenleigh has preserved its expertise while adopting innovative production methods. Today, Beenleigh Distillery stands out for its unique production process: a "Single Blended Rum" made using an original, reversed method. Distillation begins in a column still, then continues in a pot still using a traditional still called "The Old Copper," similar to those used in Demerara. This process gives the rum an aromatic richness and an exceptional character.
