Loch Lomond: Scotland's most versatile distillery
Nestled between the Highlands and Lowlands, Loch Lomond Distillery is one of Scotland's most innovative distilleries. Founded by Littlemill Distillery Company Ltd , part-owned by the American group Barton Brands, it was designed to push the boundaries of traditional production. Unique in its kind, Loch Lomond is the only Scottish distillery to produce both grain whisky and single malt whisky on the same site. Thanks to an exceptional technical setup—including classic pot stills , a Coffey still for grain, and most importantly, four Lomond stills equipped with rectification columns—Loch Lomond is capable of producing an incredible diversity of styles. This technology allows up to eight different single malts to be produced on site, ranging from unpeated to heavily peated: Loch Lomond, Inchmurrin, Glen Douglas, Old Rhosdhu, Craiglodge, Inchmoan, Croftengea, and Inchfad. With an annual capacity of around 10 million litres of grain whisky and 2.5 million litres of single malt , the distillery plays a key role in the production of numerous blends, but also offers its own range with the flagship brand Loch Lomond . Its distinctive style and multifaceted character appeal to both lovers of smooth whisky and peat enthusiasts.
