The Kurayoshi: a Japanese malt of great finesse

The Kurayoshi is a Japanese single malt produced by the Matsui Shuzou distillery , located in Tottori Prefecture, southwest Japan. This region is known for its unspoiled natural environment, pure springs, and volcanic landscapes. This whisky is made from a blend of single malts produced by the Matsui distillery. These whiskies are then carefully blended and bottled with spring water naturally filtered through local volcanic rocks, giving the whole a great purity and a silky texture. The style of The Kurayoshi is characterized by its balance between sweetness, fruity notes, subtle spices, and a hint of light smoke depending on the expression. The range has been enriched over the years with numerous vintages: The Kurayoshi Pure Malt, 8 years old, 12 years old, 18 years old, as well as the Sherry Cask or Malt Whisky Sakura editions. The Kurayoshi perfectly illustrates the Japanese approach to whisky: precision, harmony, respect for nature and the constant pursuit of excellence.
