The Royale Réserve Brut cuvée from Maison Philipponnat is a brut champagne that harmoniously combines indulgence, freshness, and vinosity. This cuvée is the result of a complex blend of 65% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier, and 30% Chardonnay. The addition of a generous proportion of reserve wines (between 20 and 40%) gives this cuvée great complexity and freshness. Moreover, some of the wines are aged in oak barrels, adding a touch of complexity and vinosity. This champagne is distinguished by its golden color with amber highlights. On the nose, the Royale Réserve Philipponnat cuvée initially reveals notes of white flowers, which then evolve into more complex aromas of citrus, brioche, and honey. On the palate, this cuvée begins with a fresh and lively attack, then unveils its fruity aromas. It is well-structured, with elegant vinosity and a full texture. The finish is superb, marked by a delicious, biscuity touch. Served at a temperature of 8°C, this champagne is ideal as an aperitif or to enhance white meats, poultry, and fine charcuterie, whether hot or cold.

THE BRAND

In the heart of the Champagne region, in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the Philipponnat house is renowned for producing great wines. Each of its iconic champagnes, such as Cuvée 1522, Clos des Goisses, Blanc de Noirs Millésimé, and Grand Blanc Millésié, presents a unique expression, characterized by a predominance of Pinot Noir grapes, with the exception of the Blanc de Blancs. These wines are truly designed for discerning connoisseurs, standing out on prestigious tables and elegantly accompanying the finest dishes, well beyond the aperitif. The Philipponnat house asserts a distinctive style that remains true to its principles, far from passing trends. It offers a range of champagnes distinguished by their flavorful character, power, and balance. Aromatic intensity, particularly that of Pinot Noir, is a characteristic common to all cuvées, illustrating the constant search for freshness and minerality in each of its creations. During a ceremony held at the Automobile Club de France in Paris, La Revue du Vin de France revealed the winners of its annual awards. These awards celebrate the individuals and companies that have left an indelible mark on the French wine industry. During the ceremony, Champagne Philipponnat was awarded the prestigious 'Brand of the Year' prize. This distinction recognizes the remarkable trajectory of the Philipponnat house . Despite turbulent times, it has successfully reinvented itself under the leadership of Charles Philipponnat since 2000. Today renowned for its superb range of champagnes, the house has brilliantly risen to the challenge of combining tradition and innovation.
