Produced in the commune of Saint-Raphaël by Romulus Bethel , Clairin Le Rocher is a unique expression of Haitian identity. Each vintage, including this 2022 version, is based on an ancestral method: cane syrup heated over an open flame, fermented naturally, distilled in a pot still , then bottled without reduction.
Its name, "The Rock," is inspired by the Gospel according to Matthew (7:24–27), evoking the solidity of foundations. Like this allegory, this clairin embodies the resilience, purity, and authenticity of rural Haiti. A raw, uncompromising cuvée with unexpected and wild aromas.

About Clairin
Clairin is the name given to traditional Haitian rums, produced exclusively using artisanal and natural methods. Unlike industrial rums, clairins are made in small family distilleries spread across rural Haiti. Each clairin is unique, reflecting the local terroir, sugarcane varieties, indigenous yeasts, and spontaneous fermentation practices without any chemical additions. What makes clairins exceptional is their absolute purity and artisanal integrity . The sugarcane used is always non-hybrid, hand-harvested, and often grown without fertilizers. Fermentation, which can last several days, takes place naturally, before distillation in traditional stills heated over an open flame. The clairin is then bottled at cask strength, without reduction or filtration, thus retaining all of its aromatic richness.
Since their introduction to the international market, clairins have fascinated lovers of rare rums and bartenders in search of unique flavors.
