The Kirin Fuji Single Blended is an ambitious new release, resulting from an exclusive blend of whiskies 100% produced at the Fuji Gotemba distillery . This blend is made from single malts distilled in pot stills, and three styles of single grains (column, doubler and batch kettle), a rarity that allows for a very broad aromatic palette. Aged in American oak barrels, it reveals a typically Japanese fruity, round and gourmet character, while displaying beautiful precision. An elegant, easy-to-drink whisky that celebrates the diversity of Japanese know-how.

About the distillery

The Fuji Gotemba distillery is one of Japan's most impressive, founded in 1972 by the Kirin group, with the help of Scottish and American experts. It is located at an altitude of 620 meters, at the foot of Mount Fuji, in an exceptional environment. This strategic site offers remarkably pure spring water and a cool climate conducive to slow and controlled aging. Fuji Gotemba's unique feature lies in its ability to produce both malt and grain whiskies on-site, with a rare diversity of stills: pot stills for malts, and three types of stills for grains (column, batch kettle, doubler). This richness allows the distillery to create complex, entirely in-house blends, which is rare in the world of Japanese whisky.
