Plantation Rum Three Stars is a blend of rums from three islands: Trinidad (rums aged between two and three years), Barbados (young rums), and Jamaica (very old rums). Each island contributes its own aromatic characteristics. This is a very grand white rum, rich and subtle. It is the ideal companion for cocktails, including the Mojito.
TASTING NOTE
Nose: Rich and subtle.
Palate: Notes of brown sugar, flambéed banana and candied pineapple enhanced with delicate touches of gourmet vanilla.
Finish: Floral, vegetal and slightly spicy, not to say peppery, notes.
THE BRAND
Plantation rums are divided into two distinct series: blends and vintages. The vintages in the Plantation range are an invitation to travel. From Jamaica to Barbados to Panama, each rum possesses local flavors characteristic of each country. The blends are blends refined by the cellar master of Maison Ferrand. Alexandre Gabriel, head of the Pierre Ferrand cognac house since 1989, created Plantation, a unique collection of rums he unearths in the Caribbean and Latin America, in 2003. The cane eaux-de-vie he selects benefit from a second maturation in the cellars of his Bonbonnet estate in Ars (Charente), and thus benefit from the talent of Alexandre Gabriel, a master in the art of aging. Since March 2017, Alexandre Gabriel has also been the owner of the West Indies Rum Distillery, based in Barbados, which has the distinction of producing rum continuously since the 19th century and is equipped with both column and pot stills.
