Plantation Rum Sealander is an old rum from an original blend of three origins: Barbados (West Indies Distillery), Mauritius (Saint Aubin) and Fiji (Rum Co. of Fiji). After a long tropical aging in bourbon barrels , it benefits from a one-year refinement in France in Ferrand cognac barrels . The nose offers a sweet and fruity opening, between pear , quince jelly , redcurrant and a hint of smoked molasses . On the palate, the balance is remarkable, mixing clover honey , liquorice , beeswax and melting vanilla , prolonged by prune . The finish, long and warm, reveals aromas of baked apple , tonka bean and dried banana . Harmonious rum, perfect for tasting neat or in harmony with exotic desserts or a mild cigar.

Plantation Sealander is an original creation made from a blend of rums from three iconic terroirs: Barbados (West Indies Distillery), Mauritius (Saint Aubin), and Fiji (Rum Co. of Fiji Distillery). Each component brings its own identity, harmoniously blended thanks to the expertise of Alexandre Gabriel, cellar master at Maison Ferrand. After tropical aging in bourbon barrels, the rum is refined for a year in French cellars, in ex-cognac casks. This double aging offers a rare complexity and smoothness, for a unique sensory journey across the oceans.

About the distillery
The Plantation brand, now Planteray Rum for some markets, was born from the initiative of Alexandre Gabriel, founder of Maison Ferrand. Passionate about spirits and their history, he selects the finest rums from the Caribbean, Latin America, and the Indian Ocean. All rums undergo a double aging process: first on site in a tropical climate, then in France in oak barrels that previously contained Pierre Ferrand cognac. This unique process, inspired by the cognac tradition, reveals all the aromatic richness of the world's finest rums.
