About the distillery

Nestled on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides, the Isle of Harris Distillery was founded in 2015 with the aim of revitalizing the local community while showcasing the island's terroir. It first gained recognition with a gin made with local seaweed, the famous Isle of Harris Gin, before unveiling its signature whisky: The Hearach . Founded by a passionate team led by Simon Erlanger , former marketing director of Glenmorangie, the distillery combines craftsmanship, innovation and respect for the environment.
