Tamdhu 18 Year Old is a Speyside Scotch whisky, matured for 18 years in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. Tamdhu matures only in the finest Oloroso seasoned sherry casks from Spain, so when a small selection of these fine casks reached maturity, the time was right for the distillery to bring them together to create a very limited 18 Year Old release. This Tamdhu 18 Year Old delivers aromas of walnuts, cherries, milk chocolate, raisins, citrus, and plum. The finish is long and warm, offering aromas of dried apricot, dates, sweet spices, and apple. TASTING NOTE 
Nose : Aromas of nuts, cherry, milk chocolate, grapes, citrus and plum
Palate : The sherry notes are rich, complex and enveloping with vanilla, brown sugar, red apple and dried fruits.
Finish : Long and warm, offering aromas of dried apricot, dates, sweet spices and apple.
THE BRAND
Tamdhu (Gaelic for 'little black hill') is a Speyside whisky distillery. The distillery was established in 1897 by a group of blenders including William Grant and several other blenders. It is located in the town of Knockando in Banffshire, Scotland. Inspired by the founders' vision, the distillery was later purchased in 2011 by Ian Macleod Distillers, an independent family business. The new owners decided to return this distinguished malt to its former glory.
