LALLIER Blanc de Blancs is a blanc de blancs champagne made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes, sourced from two magnificent grand cru regions: Aÿ and the Côte des Blancs, including Avize, Cramant, and Oger. This vision, initiated by James Lallier in the late 1990s, was born at a time when Chardonnay was generally selected only from the Côte des Blancs. However, inspired by his sincere respect and exceptional understanding of the terroirs, Lallier decided to cultivate this pure Chardonnay on chalky plots located on the slopes. This allows the vine roots to penetrate deeper into the soil, providing excellent drainage while maintaining sufficient moisture to nourish the grapes. Lallier's Blanc de Blancs cuvée represents an atypical yet innovative blend of two complementary, yet distinct, Chardonnays. Grapes from the Côte des Blancs bring remarkable purity, while those from the Aÿ region contribute unusual intensity. Thus, this brut champagne expresses a richness and complexity that perfectly reflect Lallier's pioneering vision and expertise.

THE BRAND
Nestled in Aÿ, Maison Lallier is one of the grand cru gems of the Champagne region, on the sunny slopes of the Montagne de Reims, northeast of Épernay. Its history began in 1906, when René Lallier, husband of the heiress of an illustrious Champagne family, decided to create his own champagne. Over the decades, the legacy was preserved and enriched by his grandson, René-James Lallier, who breathed new life into the brand by modernizing the production facilities. His partnership with winemaker Francis Tribaut, formerly head of production at Lanson-Pommery, marked a decisive turning point. In 2004, the house was acquired by the latter, who brilliantly relaunched it. In 2020, the estate took a new turn when it was acquired by the Milanese group Campari, famous for iconic brands such as Aperol, Grand Marnier, Wild Turkey and Trois Rivières. Thus, the prestigious champagne house Lallier is under the leadership of the Italian group Campari, strengthening its already impressive legacy. Since the arrival of Campari, Dominique Demarville has assumed the roles of general manager and cellar master, bringing his expertise and passion to this renowned company. In addition, the Lallier vineyard is proud to hold the HVE-3 certification, attesting to its commitment to environmentally friendly agricultural practices.
