Glencadam Whisky: Fruity Highland Elegance since 1825

Founded in 1825 by George Cooper, Glencadam Distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands, near the town of Brechin. It is one of the few distilleries still active to have spanned nearly two centuries of whisky history. Its spring water, essential to the quality of its whisky, comes from the pure heights of the Moorans , 8.7 miles away. Glencadam is equipped with two traditional stills, producing approximately 1.4 million liters of pure spirit per year. Distillation is carried out in stills topped with a long, upwardly inclined swan neck, promoting steam reflux and producing a finer, lighter distillate. This process produces a very fruity single malt , appreciated for its finesse and aromatic clarity. The distillery has eleven storage warehouses on site, ensuring optimal maturation of its casks. Each stage of production is carefully controlled, respecting Scottish traditions. Glencadam embodies a classic and elegant style, with expressions that emphasize balance, smoothness, and lively aromas. Still relatively discreet, Glencadam is increasingly appealing to single malt lovers looking for a fresh, floral, and accessible whisky. Whether in the 10 Year Old, 15 Year Old, Reserva Andalucia, or rarer editions, Glencadam deserves the full attention of connoisseurs seeking elegance.
