Jameson: Irish Whiskey Excellence Since 1780

Founded in 1780 by John Jameson, Jameson whiskey has become a global benchmark thanks to its famous triple distillation , which gives it a unique smoothness and roundness . Originally distilled in Dublin, Jameson is based on three essential ingredients: barley, corn and pure water from the Dungourney River. The whiskey is aged in American and Spanish oak barrels , carefully selected to bring out woody, vanilla and slightly spicy aromas. This long and controlled maturation process reveals a harmonious and accessible character, which appeals to connoisseurs and novices alike. The history of Jameson is marked by the major upheavals of the Irish whiskey industry: wars, prohibition, Scottish competition... But the brand has bounced back, notably thanks to the historic merger in 1966 with Cork Distillers and Power's, giving birth to Irish Distillers , now owned by Pernod Ricard. Today, Jameson whiskey is produced at the Midleton Distillery in southern Ireland, while the historic Bow Street site in Dublin has become a must-see museum. Jameson remains more than ever the symbol of the revival of Irish whiskey around the world.
