Tullibardine: Highland craft whisky and pure water
The Tullibardine Distillery, nestled in Blackford at the foot of the famous Ochil Hills in the Scottish Highlands, benefits from an exceptionally pure water source, the Danny Burn spring , whose water takes 15 years to filter from the mountains. This water quality is essential to the creation of its single malts renowned for their finesse and authenticity. Mothballed in 1994, the distillery underwent a revival in December 2003 and has since continued production faithful to traditional and artisanal methods. Tullibardine favors aging in bourbon casks , but also offers expressions refined in prestigious casks, such as the 225 Sauternes , the 228 Burgundy and the 500 Sherry , the numbers corresponding to their capacity in liters. After several changes of ownership, the distillery has belonged since 2011 to the French group Picard Vins et Spiritueux , also owner of Château Chassagne-Montrachet. Tullibardine thus continues to perpetuate the rich heritage of Scotch whisky with passion and know-how.
