THE BRAND
Tullibardine is a Highland distillery located in Blackford, at the foot of the Ochil Hills, renowned for the purity of its water. The distillery is supplied by water from the Danny Burn spring, which takes 15 years to extract from the Ochil Hills. Tullibardine was mothballed in 1994 before being relaunched in December 2003. Its single malts are matured primarily in bourbon casks, but the distillery also offers whiskies matured in various casks, including 225 Sauternes, 228 Burgundy, and 500 Sherry. The number refers to the capacity in liters of the casks used. This family-run distillery has sought to perpetuate traditions and continues to work in an artisanal manner to create its whisky. After several owners (Invergordon Distillers and Whyte & Mackay), the distillery has been owned by the French company Picard Vins et Spiritueux since 2011. It also owns Château Chassagne-Montrachet.
