Matsui Whisky: Japanese Art Sublimated by the Kurayoshi Distillery

Matsui whiskies are carefully produced by Matsui Shuzo at the Kurayoshi distillery , nestled in Tottori Prefecture, in the south of Honshu Island. This unique region is famous for its sand dunes and benefits from an exceptionally pure underground water source from the Daisen Mountains, a key element in the production of these exceptional spirits. The Matsui range includes "The Kurayoshi Pure Malt" and "The Tottori Blended", to which are added three singular expressions: The Matsui Single Malt , a tribute to Japanese culture and its traditional art of Ukiyo-e drawing. Each bottle is adorned with a famous print, symbolizing the aromatic characteristics of the whisky: the peaty power of the Peated illustrated by Katsushika Hokusai, the freshness of the Mizunara cask with a scene by Umezawa, and the delicacy of the Sakura cask highlighted by Kikukawa Eizan. These Japanese whiskies offer a refined balance between tradition and innovation, combining complex and subtle notes that appeal to even the most discerning connoisseurs. The careful selection of water, malt, and casks gives the Matsui range a depth of aroma and elegance that are unique in the global whisky market.
