Champagne Lanson: family heritage and biodynamic viticulture
Founded in 1760, Maison Lanson is one of the oldest in Champagne and has built its identity around the Maltese Cross adopted in 1798, a symbol of benevolence, openness, and hospitality. Its international influence has been strengthened by emblematic partnerships: official champagne of the Royal Court of England since 1900 and partner of the Wimbledon tournament since 1977, Lanson embodies a shared and recognized elegance. Lanson draws on historical relationships with more than 100 crus, 50% of which are Grands and Premiers Crus, while cultivating 57 hectares of its own. Among them, the Domaine de la Malmaison, in the heart of the Marne Valley, is an organic and biodynamic viticultural experimentation ground certified AB and Demeter, where soil balance and biodiversity are carefully maintained. The house's philosophy is based on respectful viticulture and rigorous selection: the combination of highly precise grapes with thoughtful blends gives rise to champagnes of chiseled freshness, elegant tension and subtle complexity, capable of accompanying both special occasions and shared moments. Attached to its terroir, Lanson also cultivates local traditions of exchange, such as with Domaine les Crayères during the Soirée Blanche in Reims, reflecting a desire to combine authenticity, transmission and modernity in each bottle.
