Whisky Eddu: The Uniqueness of a Breton Buckwheat Whisky

Eddu whisky , distilled in Brittany, is a unique product in the world, made exclusively from buckwheat, a cereal typical of the region. The history of this whisky dates back to 2002, when the Le Lay family, after five generations of passion for distilling, decided to launch an innovative whisky production. Their distillery, the Distillerie des Menhirs, is the first and only one in the world to produce whisky exclusively from buckwheat. This bold choice gives Eddu whisky an incomparable singularity. The distillation process of Eddu whisky is carried out in Charentais stills, which bring a touch of finesse to this Breton spirit. After distillation, the whisky is aged in carefully selected casks, mainly from the Cognac region and the legendary forest of Brocéliande. This particular maturation enriches Eddu whisky with woody and subtle nuances, giving it a depth and complexity that seduces connoisseurs.
