Yama means "mountain" and sakura means "cherry blossom." Sasanokawa Shuzo, a distillery renowned for its sake, has this time produced a lightly peaty Japanese whisky with delicious notes of citrus, peat, and malt on the palate. The smoky finish is persistent, accompanied by yellow fruits and vanilla. This whisky is made from a blend of malt whisky, including peated malted barley, and grain whisky. Double distilled in a pot still, it was aged in bourbon barrels. It is non-chill filtered.
