Bumbu Original is a spiced rum crafted at the West Indies Rum Company distillery in Barbados . It is produced from sugarcane from eight countries in the Caribbean and South America. THE BRAND
Launched in 2016 by Sovereign Brands, Bumbu Rum is based on a 400-year-old recipe used by sailors and traders in the colonial West Indies, who blended Caribbean fruits and spices into their rum and called it bumbu. It is distilled from sugarcane grown in eight different countries in the Caribbean and Latin America, and the yeast used during fermentation is a distillery secret dating back to 1840. Each bottle is adorned with an iconic tarnished “X” medallion and comes with an old-fashioned cork stopper.
