Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a peated whisky matured in small oak casks that previously contained bourbon. This maturation gives the whisky increased contact with the oak, which gives it a smooth, velvety finish that complements the characteristic peat of Laphroaig whiskies. The finish is very long, quite dry, with notes of exotic fruits. A beautiful whisky that combines fruity sweetness and peat.

THE BRAND
Laphroaig, pronounced 'la-froyg,' founded in 1815, is located on the island of Islay on the west coast of Scotland. It is the work of the Johnston brothers, Alexander and Donald, who perished after falling into a boiling vat. The distillery has been owned by Beam Global Spirits & Wine since July 2005. Laphroaig owns its own peat bog, which has sufficient resources to supply it for another 4,000 years. The Laphroaig distillery uses peat-filtered water from Loch Kilbride for its whiskies. It is equipped with seven stills; Prince Charles designated it as his favorite single malt. Since 2014, Beam has become Beam Suntory, which also owns Bowmore.
