TASTING NOTE

Nose : A fantastic nose of caramel, cinnamon, marzipan and spices.

Palate : The entry is exquisite with a full and rounded mouthfeel. The integration of flavors in Johnny Drum is truly extraordinary, with the cinnamon notes literally enveloped by the caramel notes. It's a level of complexity and flavor that few whiskies in this class can match. In the mid-palate, Johnny Drum undergoes an inversion in which the spicy notes become more predominant and the sweet caramel becomes more of a nuance. In addition to the cinnamon, we get allspice, clove, and oak.

Finish : The finish is long, spicy and slightly dry with lots of flavor and wonderful balance.

THE BRAND

Johnny Drum is a brand of the famous Willett Distillery, located in Bardstown, Kentucky, the bourbon capital of the world. According to legend, at the end of the war, Johnny returned home to his native Kentucky and quickly learned the importance of finding a way to convert his surplus corn. The story goes that Johnny was soon producing an exceptional bourbon whiskey. Today, Johnny Drum is bottled in three forms: Johnny Drum Private Stock, Johnny Drum Black Label, and Johnny Drum Green Label. Owned by Willett, but bottled under the name Johnny Drum Distilling Company.
