Founded by Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel in Lynchburg, Tennessee , in the late 19th century, the Jack Daniel's distillery is now one of the most famous in the world. Its iconic Tennessee Whiskey is crafted with consistently high standards: natural spring water, corn, rye, malted barley, and most importantly, the famous Lincoln County Process , which involves filtering the distillate through a thick layer of maple charcoal before aging. This process gives Jack Daniel's whiskey its characteristic smoothness. Each barrel is crafted on-site in their own cooperage.
