Method & Madness: Innovation at the heart of Irish tradition

Method and Madness – that’s the mantra of Method & Madness , a micro-distillery nestled in the former storage area of Midleton , Ireland. This think tank serves as both a training workshop for young master distillers and a testing ground for pushing the boundaries of Irish whiskey. Equipped with 2500 and 1500 liter Forsyths stills, the distillery produces only 50,000 liters of spirit per year, a far cry from Midleton’s 65 million liters. It explores all styles: single pot still, single malt, single grain , but also distillations of rye or unmalted barley, all in a typically Irish triple distillation. Aesthetically, the bold bottles are designed by the M&E studio, an Irish-Swedish design duo. The range also includes a floral and fruity gin made from 16 botanicals. Method & Madness embodies the meeting of artisanal rigor and the spirit of exploration – a UFO in the world of Irish whiskey.
